My first choice is in my previous post as bi-polar disorder.
My second choice is the game world of warcraft and how often it is played and how addictive the game is. The game itself is vastly immense with many character classes, spells, attacks, professions, places, quests, group quests, and raid quests. World of Warcraft is an endless game with ongoing changes and added content through patches. There are over 12 million players worldwide and many different servers to play on. The game is packed with items and things you get that increase the stats of your character. The more you play the better gear you will recieve and the more knowledge you will obtain about the game. Group quests and tasks vary in size with the smallest group being a 5 person group. The middle sized group is a 10 person raid. The largest group that you can be in at one time is 25. Twenty five people all at once trying to complete the same goal. many players use ventrilo which is a internet based chat program. There by being able to talk just like a phone over the internet to the other 24 members of your team. I personally play and i limit my time accordingly. There are many players that are online when i sign off and still on when i sign back on. I asked one of the players how many hours they play a day and she responded with around 10! 10 hours playing a day?? how can somone sit and play for so long? Is the game really that addictive? I found that the players that seem to play the most dont have the best of real world life. While the players that seem to play less have outside activities and social lives. I believe that the reason the long hour players seem to play so much is that their character in the game is more presentable or (more cool) of a person then the person is in real life. This is mentally addictive. If in the game you are more impressive then out of the game, the game becomes more of a lifestyle then a game. Im interested in the addictiveness and the psychological aspects of the game but i fear the sources and information is not available yet.
My third choice would have to be the social pressures of the freshman and sophmore years of college. The reason i am interested in this topic is because i fit into that category and i know most of the pressures. It seems that our generation is quite pressured to party and go out and do things that in society are looked down upon. I feel that one of the only ways to get out there and meet people is through going out to a party on friday nights. There is always a party it seems. I feel that many are pressured to fit into the crowd and go out. Not saying that going out or partying is bad. i just disagree with how socially its one of the only things to do while at college. Mistakes are more prevalent when alcohol is introduced and other substances. I guess im a hypocrit but why people want to dumb themselves down is not understandable sometimes. i want to know the number of students that feel pressured to party and compared to the students that do not. I also would like to know the number of introverts and extroverts that are pressured to party and which group has more partiers introverts or extroverts? The topic is interesting because of the power that friends have over each other. Many wouldnt dream of doing such things but if a friend convinces them that its ok or well they do it to or have gotten away with it ect...then that person might think well if my friend who cares about me and has been around this long is doing it then its ok for me as well. anyways i started ranting but yea this is my third topic. and last most appealing one to research.

Actually, I bet you'd be surprised about the research available on the psychological addiction to games like World of Warcraft. But bi-polar disorder is fine also. You'll end up narrowing it a bit more I would guess, the further into the topic you'll go.
